I'm so glad to hear you confirm the impression I had gotten--after reading the second book where the experiences are so different, I'd thought that might be the case, but I also wondered whether there would be a gendered connection made in a later book that would turn out to be essential (since of course I don't know what you have in mind for future volumes).
